A more intense form of anxiety and stress can lead to fears, phobias and obsessive compulsive behaviour.
People suffering from these conditions experience strong emotions and physical symptoms when confronted with their fear. They can feel completely overwhelmed or physically sick by this response.
At this point the “coping pathways” are firmly cemented in the brain and sufferers’ lives can become increasingly small and debilitated as they avoid those things that scare them.
It has been great to help people in a safe way get a grip on their obsessive compulsive behaviours, and to overcome fears of flying, spiders, public speaking, of being in groups and heights- to name but a few.
